Summer Workshop
July 9 – 20, 2012, Monday – Friday 9:00 AM to 12:15 PM
Spend part of your summer doing something really cool – attend a two-week Summer Workshop at The Concord Conservatory of Music! We offer a fun and exciting opportunity for children aged 5 to 10* (*Child's age is before July 1, 2012) to try an instrument, sing, drum, and participate in a musical movement class. Students will rock the foundations of musical theory in a fun hands-on course called the Musicians' Toolbox; and, using an instrument of their choice, explore subjects that integrate mind, body and FUN.
Our daily morning sessions leave the afternoon free to enjoy other summer activities.
CCM's Summer Workshop teaches students to develop proper pitch and good listening skills. All activities are age-appropriate and designed to provide the students with a fun and memorable vacation learning experience.
New to a musical instrument?
Your child will choose an instrument to try for the duration of the two week Summer Workshop. Instruments available include:
- violin
- cello
- piano
- double bass
- and guitar* (limited to ages 8-10*)
Space is also limited by instrument for each age group. Students that choose violin, cello, double bass, or guitar will be contacted by the CCM office to schedule a time July 2-3 to be sized for their instrument.
Already play an instrument?
Students who already play violin, viola, cello or piano will have a master class lesson with students their own age.
