Junior Orchestra

This is a terrific and fun opportunity for students to participate in their first orchestra and develop their ensemble skills. This beginner orchestra is also available to string students who are not currently taking private instruction at CCM. Some note reading experience is expected, this will also be developed during the sessions. Students are expected to make a full year commitment to the orchestra. The following is the recommended minimum level of playing ability and reading notation.
Violin: Suzuki book 2 to 4, ASTA grade 1 -2 or comparable
Viola: Suzuki book 2 to 4, ASTA grade 1 -2 or comparable
Cello: Suzuki book 2 to 4, ASTA grade 1 -2 or comparable
Bass: Suzuki book 1, ASTA grade 1 - 2 or comparable
