Tucker Antell grew up in Sarasota, FL and began playing saxophone at the age of 10, playing professionally by 13 and recording by 16 solo, and also with Jazz veteran the late great Al Galladoro, who after recording with the young saxophonist said, "Tucker Antell is from another planet!".

He attended the University of Michigan for two years, studying with the late master Donald Walden before transferring to the New England Conservatory of music in Boston, where he studied with George Garzone, Jerry Bergonzi, Billy Hart and Cecil McBee, among the many other great musicians. Tucker received a B.A. from the New England Conservatory. Currently, Tucker lives in Boston while teaching, recording, and performing in a variety of bands and ensembles in the New England area, some of which include: Fat City Band, a 6 piece original blues band, and the Beantown Swing Orchestra, an 18 piece classic swing dance band.
